My name is Andrey Novakov and I am the youngest Member of the European Parliament. My term began in November 2014. Before being elected I worked in the Blagoevgrad Mayor’s office (responsible for international, media and youth affairs). I joined the Bulgarian centre-right party GERB in 2008 and held successive positions such as District Chairman of the Party’s youth branch. In the European Parliament, my work is concentrated on 4 priorities: EU funding and simplifying access to it, youth employment and the EU budget and budgetary control.
