I am Ivo Belet, an MEP for Belgium since 2004. I began my career as a trainee and assistant at the European Parliament and the European Commission before becoming an Editor (at Concentra) and a journalist (at VRT). I’m currently the Vice-Coordinator of the EPP Group’s positions on all dossiers going through the European Parliament’s Committee on Environment, Public Health and Food Safety, but also work on emissions measurements in the automotive sector, following the VW scandal, and on EU relations with India.
