Verónica Lope Fontagné

I’m Verónica Lope Fontagné, a Spanish lawyer from Zaragoza. I have been involved in politics since 1995. I started as City Councillor for Social Action and Deputy Mayor of Culture in Zaragoza until 2004, when I became a member of the national Parliament. In 2009, I was elected to the European Parliament, where my work focuses on employment and social affairs and control of the European budget. In addition, I work on EU-Mexico and Euro-Latin American relations. I chair the Economic Affairs Committee of the Euro-Latin American Parliamentary Assembly (EUROLAT).
